1. The service

lplate provides web-based tools (including image-based suggestions, resource listings, optional monitoring features, and a knowledge-base chat) aimed at supporting small scale farmers and advisors in Zimbabwe. The service may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn at any time.

2. Not professional advice

Outputs from classifiers, chat, or any other feature are informational only. They do not replace qualified agronomists, veterinarians, extension officers, or other professionals. You remain responsible for husbandry, crop management, food safety, and compliance with local law.

3. AI and third-party inference

Some features send images or related data to remote model providers for processing. Results can be wrong or incomplete. You should not rely on a single automated output for critical decisions.

4. Accounts

Where registration is offered, you must provide accurate contact details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or put others at risk.

5. Your content

By uploading images, text, or other materials you confirm you have the right to submit them and that doing so does not violate anyone else’s rights. For knowledge-base documents uploaded by administrators, those users warrant they may store and use the material for retrieval within the service.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, lplate and its operators and contributors are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or crops or livestock, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. External links and datasets

Resource listings may point to third-party sites or datasets. We are not responsible for their terms, fees, accuracy, or availability.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are intended to be interpreted in line with the laws of Zimbabwe, without prejudice to mandatory protections that may apply where you access the service from another jurisdiction.
